People’s Alliance for change and equality

The People’s Alliance for Change and Equality (PACE) is a newly formed group of campaigners, trade unionists, independents and activists who want to see an end to the cost of living crisis, militarism, inequality and oppression.

We are fighting for a better future which rejects the stale status quo of the establishment parties and one which wants to mobilise people power. In Kirklees, we have fought off leisure centre, dementia home, library and hospital closures; we are fighting for a free Palestine; for an end to the cost of living crisis. But we need to bring together all these struggles into one stronger alliance. So why not join us?

CONFERENCE OF RESISTANCE

On 10 May, 2025, we held a successful Conference of Resistance to formally launch PACE. We brought together different campaign groups that had been fighting against closures, privatisation, for an end to all wars and to end oppression. Over 200 people came together to listen to speakers like Jeremy Corbyn, Claudia Webbe, Salma Yaqoob and others on how we can take PACE forwards
